- 2 large eggs
- 1 large egg yolk
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract (optional)
- 3/4 cup (128 grams) chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 9×9-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
- Sift dry ingredients: In a large bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder, salt, cocoa powder, and espresso powder.
- Melt butter mixture: In a saucepan, melt together the butter, oil, and part of the sugar.
- Mix wet ingredients: In a mixing bowl, combine eggs, egg yolk, vanilla, and remaining sugar.
- Combine mixtures: Gradually mix the warm butter mixture into the egg mixture.
- Add dry ingredients: Gently fold in the dry ingredients and chocolate chips.
- Bake: Pour batter into the pan and bake for 28-30 minutes until set.
- Cool and serve: Cool the brownies completely on a rack before slicing.
