  • Author: Jack
  • Total Time: 20 minutes
  • Yield: 10 decorated Santa Nutter Butter cookies 1x

Description

Create festive Santa-themed treats using Nutter Butter cookies decorated with colorful candy melts and sprinkles. These no-bake, easy-to-make cookies are perfect for holiday parties and make a fun, decorative dessert that kids and adults will love.

Ingredients

Scale

Nutter Butter Santa Cookies

  • 10 Nutter Butter cookies
  • 10 red M&M’s
  • 10 white candy sprinkle pearls
  • 20 candy eye sprinkles

Candy Melts

  • 12 oz. bag red candy melts (Sweet Tooth Fairy)
  • 12 oz. bag white candy melts (Sweet Tooth Fairy)

Instructions

  1. Melt White Candy Melts: According to the package instructions, melt the white candy melts until fully smooth and ready for dipping or brushing.
  2. Dip Nutter Butters: Dip the bottom half of each Nutter Butter cookie into the melted white candy melts. Carefully place each dipped cookie onto parchment or freezer paper with the shiny side facing up. Immediately press a red M&M onto each cookie to create a nose.
  3. Melt Red Candy Melts and Apply: Melt the red candy melts as directed. Using a small pastry brush, paint the red candy melts onto the top portion of each Nutter Butter cookie, forming the Santa hat. While the candy is still wet, place one white candy sprinkle pearl on the edge of the hat to represent the white pom-pom.
  4. Attach Candy Eyes: Dab a small amount of white candy melts on the back of each candy eye sprinkle and place them onto the cookie to create Santa’s eyes. Repeat this for all cookies.
  5. Let Dry and Serve: Allow the decorated cookies to completely dry and set at room temperature. Once dry, serve and enjoy your festive Santa Nutter Butter cookies!

Notes

  • Use parchment or freezer paper to prevent sticking while candy melts set.
  • If candy melts thicken before use, gently reheat in 10-second intervals to maintain smooth consistency.
  • Store decorated cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
  • If you don’t have a pastry brush, you can use a spoon or dip more of the cookie to achieve the red hat effect.
  • These cookies are a fun activity for children with adult supervision.
