Ingredients
Scale
Sandwiches
- 24 Hawaiian rolls (2 packages)
- 1 lb roast beef (thinly sliced)
- 8 oz provolone cheese (sliced)
- 1 tbsp prepared horseradish
- 2 tbsp mayonnaise
Garlic Butter Sauce
- 1/4 cup butter (melted)
- 4 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1 tbsp dried minced onion
- 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350˚F (175˚C) to ensure it’s ready for baking the sliders.
- Prepare Rolls: Remove the Hawaiian rolls from their packaging. Carefully slice each set of 12 rolls horizontally in half, separating the tops from the bottoms.
- Assemble Base: Place the bottom halves of the rolls evenly in a 9×13-inch baking dish. Spread the horseradish and mayonnaise mixture over the rolls, then layer the roast beef evenly on top followed by the provolone cheese slices. Replace the roll tops over the cheese, then use a knife to cut between each slider to separate them partially for easy serving.
- Make Garlic Butter Sauce: In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter, minced garlic, dried minced onion, Dijon mustard, and Worcestershire sauce until blended smoothly.
- Apply Sauce: Pour the garlic butter mixture evenly over the tops of the sliders. Use a pastry brush to spread the sauce thoroughly, making sure it seeps between the rolls for maximum flavor.
- Bake: Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for 20 minutes, or until the sandwiches are heated through and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Notes
- You can substitute provolone with mozzarella or Swiss cheese if desired.
- For extra kick, add a little chopped fresh horseradish or hot sauce to the mayo mixture.
- If you prefer, replace roast beef with thinly sliced turkey or ham for a different flavor.
- These sliders are best served warm and fresh out of the oven but can be reheated covered with foil to prevent drying.
- To save prep time, you can assemble the sliders in the morning and refrigerate, then bake just before serving.
