  • Yield: 12 sliders 1x

Description

These Chicken Tender Sliders are a delicious and easy-to-make appetizer or meal featuring juicy chicken tenders, melted Colby Jack cheese, and a sweet honey mustard glaze on soft Hawaiian rolls. Topped with fresh lettuce and sliced tomatoes, they are perfect for parties or family dinners.

Ingredients

Scale

Slider Ingredients

  • 12 Hawaiian rolls
  • 9 chicken tenders (cooked and prepared)
  • 6 slices Colby Jack cheese
  • 2 cups shredded lettuce
  • 2 Roma tomatoes, sliced

Honey Mustard Glaze

  • 2 tablespoons salted butter, melted
  • 2 teaspoons Dijon mustard
  • 2 teaspoons honey

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350˚F to prepare for baking the sliders.
  2. Make the Glaze: In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter, Dijon mustard, and honey until the mixture is smooth and well combined.
  3. Prepare Chicken: Place the cooked chicken tenders on a cutting board and chop them into bite-sized pieces, making them easy to layer on the sliders.
  4. Assemble Sliders: Slice the Hawaiian rolls in half horizontally. Place the bottom halves in a baking dish, layer each with slices of Colby Jack cheese, then evenly distribute the chopped chicken tenders on top. Place the tops of the rolls over the chicken and brush the entire surface generously with the honey mustard glaze.
  5. Bake: Bake the assembled sliders in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted, and the sliders are heated through.
  6. Add Fresh Toppings: After baking, carefully lift the tops of the rolls using a spatula and add the shredded lettuce and sliced Roma tomatoes. Place the tops back on and serve immediately while warm.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, you can add pickles or substitute Colby Jack with your favorite melting cheese.
  • If you prefer a spicier glaze, add a pinch of cayenne pepper or hot sauce to the honey mustard mixture.
  • These sliders are best served fresh but can be reheated gently in the oven to maintain their meltiness.
