Bread:
- 1 (14 oz) loaf French bread (or Italian bread)
Garlic Butter:
- 1/4 cup salted butter, softened
- 2 Tbsp olive oil
- 2 tsp minced garlic (or 1 tsp granulated garlic)
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
Cheese Topping:
- 1 1/4 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/3 cup finely shredded parmesan cheese
- 1 Tbsp finely chopped fresh parsley
Instructions
- Preheat oven: Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F. Slice the bread in half lengthwise.
- Prepare bread: Place the bread halves on a foil-lined baking sheet.
- Make garlic butter: In a bowl, mix butter, olive oil, garlic, salt, and pepper. Spread this mixture over the bread halves.
- Bake: Wrap the bread in foil and bake for 10 minutes. Then, uncover the bread, sprinkle with cheeses, and bake for an additional 5-6 minutes until cheese is melted.
- Finish: Sprinkle parsley over the top, slice, and serve warm.
