Instructions

  3. Sauté Onion: In the pot with drippings, sauté onion, then add butter and garlic.
  4. Make Roux: Stir in flour to make a roux. Cook briefly.
  5. Add Broth: Gradually whisk in chicken broth, then add half and half and simmer.
  6. Combine Ingredients: Stir in mashed potatoes, blend for desired texture, then add sour cream and cheddar.
