Dry Ingredients
- 4 tablespoons Nestle® Milo
- 3 tablespoons All-Purpose Flour
- 1 tablespoon Granulated Sugar
Wet Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon Water
- 3 tablespoons Vegetable Oil
- 1 Egg
Instructions
- Preheat Air Fryer: Preheat your air fryer to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C) for 3 minutes to ensure even cooking of the lava cake.
- Mix Dry Ingredients: In a mixing bowl, combine 4 tablespoons of Nestle® Milo, 3 tablespoons of all-purpose flour, and 1 tablespoon of granulated sugar. Stir well to blend the powders uniformly.
- Add Wet Ingredients: Pour in 1 tablespoon of water, 3 tablespoons of vegetable oil, and crack in 1 egg. Mix thoroughly until the batter is smooth and homogenous.
- Prepare Ramekin: Grease a ramekin with a little oil or butter and line the bottom with parchment paper to prevent sticking and ease removal.
- Transfer Batter: Pour the prepared batter into the greased ramekin, spreading it evenly.
- Air Fry the Cake: Place the ramekin in the air fryer basket and bake for 8 to 10 minutes at 400°F, until the cake is set but still soft in the center to create the lava effect.
- Cool and Serve: Remove the cake from the air fryer and let it cool for 1 minute. Then carefully remove it from the ramekin by inverting it onto a plate.
- Garnish and Enjoy: Sprinkle extra Milo on top for an added chocolate kick and serve immediately while warm.
Notes
- Greasing and lining the ramekin properly helps avoid the cake sticking during baking.
- Cooking times may vary slightly depending on your air fryer model; check doneness at 8 minutes.
- Do not overbake to maintain the gooey lava center texture.
- Use fresh eggs for better batter consistency and rise.
- Serve immediately for best texture and flavor.
