Description

These Air Fryer Cheeseburger Wraps are a quick and delicious twist on the classic cheeseburger, featuring juicy seasoned beef patties wrapped in warm flour tortillas with melted cheddar cheese, tangy pickles, ketchup, and mustard. Crispy on the outside and packed with flavor, they’re perfect for a satisfying weeknight meal or a fun snack.

Ingredients

Scale

Beef Patties

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder

Wrap Assembly

  • 4 large flour tortillas
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup dill pickles, sliced
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 1/2 cup mustard
  • Cooking spray, as needed (for air fryer)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the beef mixture: In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix thoroughly until all ingredients are well integrated.
  2. Form patties: Shape the seasoned beef mixture into small patties approximately 2-3 inches in diameter for even cooking.
  3. Preheat air fryer: Set your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) and allow it to preheat for about 5 minutes to ensure optimal cooking temperature.
  4. Prepare air fryer basket: Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray to prevent the patties from sticking during cooking.
  5. Cook the beef patties: Place the patties in a single layer inside the air fryer basket. Cook for 8-10 minutes, flipping them halfway through to achieve even browning and thorough cooking.
  6. Cool patties slightly: Remove the cooked patties from the air fryer and let them rest for a few minutes to retain their juices.
  7. Assemble the wraps: Lay out each flour tortilla on a clean surface. Place one beef patty on each tortilla, then top with shredded cheddar cheese, sliced dill pickles, and a drizzle of ketchup and mustard.
  8. Roll the wraps: Tightly roll each tortilla around the filling, folding in the ends to secure the contents inside.
  9. Optional wrapping: For easier handling, you may wrap each assembled cheeseburger wrap in aluminum foil or parchment paper.
  10. Air fry the wraps: Place the wrapped burgers back into the air fryer basket, spray the outside of the wraps lightly with cooking spray, and cook for an additional 5 minutes at 375°F (190°C) until the tortillas are crispy and golden brown.
  11. Serve: Allow the wraps to cool for a minute after cooking, then slice each in half and serve hot.

Notes

  • Make sure not to overfill the tortillas to prevent them from bursting during the second air frying step.
  • You can customize the wraps by adding lettuce, tomato, or onions for extra freshness.
  • To save time, you can cook the patties in advance and refrigerate before assembling and crisping the wraps.
  • If you do not have an air fryer, you can use a conventional oven set to 375°F and bake the patties and wraps, adjusting time as needed.
  • Using low-fat cheese or whole wheat tortillas can make the recipe healthier.
