These 10 Minute Blackened Shrimp are a quick and flavorful dish perfect for a weeknight dinner or a delicious appetizer. Juicy shrimp coated in a spicy blackening seasoning, seared to perfection in a hot skillet.

Ingredients

Scale

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb (453g) shrimp (peeled and deveined (and defrosted if using from frozen))
  • 1.5 tablespoon blackening seasoning (or more to taste)
  • 1.5 tablespoon olive oil, divided (2 tsp for marinade, 2 tsp for cooking)

Instructions

  1. Dry the shrimp and place in a mixing bowl. Add in the oil and spice and mix until the shrimp are evenly coated.
  2. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the shrimp to the skillet (do this in batches if your skillet is small) and cook for 2 minutes.
  3. Flip over and cook for another 2 minutes until cooked through and a nice brown crust develops.
